I have always enjoyed being on my mat and have been practicing for several years now. My mat is my place to recenter myself and to find balance or answers I am searching for. I became a 1st time mother in 2016 and as amazing as that experience is, my world changed in ways I didn’t think possible. My mat began to collect dust and I started to notice that there was a change in me. I joined a gym because I wanted to get back into some kind of workout routine, but something was still missing. In 2019 I walked into Shanteel Yoga Sanctuary and fell in Love with the studio, what a beautiful space to be in. I slowly started getting on my mat more regularly and began to feel something inside of me shift but still wanted more.
In January of 2020 I decide to take the leap by enrolling in the 200 hr yoga alliance teacher training , a journey I will always be grateful for. I had no intentions of teaching, I was just going on this journey to reconnect to myself. But I was given the opportunity to start teaching shortly after I was certified and now I look forward to teaching in this beautiful studio that I fell in love with and also share my love for yoga with others.
